Our awareness course is designed for people who store and handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances in the workplace, rather than transport them in bulk by road. It builds the knowledge to identify, store and handle these materials safely, in line with your work health and safety duties.

Who It Is For
This course suits people who handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances, particularly in package form, receptacles and containers, or in quantities below the bulk thresholds that require a full dangerous goods driver licence. It is ideal for warehouse staff, logistics coordinators and anyone who may come across these materials on the job.

If you store and handle dangerous goods in the workplace but do not transport them in bulk by road, awareness training is usually the right fit. If you drive vehicles carrying dangerous goods above the regulated thresholds, you will need the licence course instead. If you are unsure, ask us and we will point you the right way.
